Other Notes

Once staked, $EARNS tokens cannot be unstaked without incurring the Attrition tax on a portion of the amount to be unstaked. By default, 50% of the tokens to be unstaked are taxed. This amount is reduced for users with Attrition perks.

A user who has the Level 1 Attrition perk will have unstaking attrition reduced by 10%, meaning unstaking will result in 45% of the unstaked tokens being taxed. If that user has unlocked the Level 5 Attrition perk they will only lose 2.5% of their tokens upon unstaking, since that perk reduces the unstake attrition rate by 95% of its original value.

Reshuffling perks also carries an attrition rate, albeit a lower one. When reshuffling perks, 25% of the tokens currently staked are taxed. As with unstaking, the Attrition perk reduces this by the corresponding amount. Reshuffling with the Level 1 Attrition perk active means only 22.5% of the staked tokens will be taxed, while the Level 5 version of the perk reduces this to 1.25% of the amount.

Unlocking all 30 perks requires a total of 186,000 $EARNS tokens. This is incredibly difficult, and is theoretically only possible for 5,376 users at most if the entire supply is staked by users with all 30 perks.

These mechanisms combine to create a gamified tokenization experience which offers substantial value for users and minimizes incentives for dumping. Over longer periods, the majority of the supply is expected to end up staked by Earnscape users, as Web2 users who are expected to give little if any thought to selling greatly outnumber Web3 users motivated by selling their $EARNS rewards rather than using them. The vast majority of mobile gamers being Web2 means $EARNS tokens acquired by these individuals will almost certainly end up staked and never being sold.
