Higher level perks confer higher level benefits; users are expected to focus on different perk categories and distribution strategies. Certain perks work better in combination with each other than others, and users are expected to spend time trying to determine the best combination for their play style.
Perks in the Tasks, Rewards, and Earning Limits categories are applied to “points” earned within the Earnscape app. All user rewards are initially given as “points” which are not crypto assets – they exist as an entry in Earnscape’s database record(s) for each user. “Points” have a fixed USD value but do nothing until redeemed, when they're converted to $USDC and $EARNS at a default split of 50/50.
The split is on the USD value of $USDC and $EARNS, although $USDC is pegged 1:1 to the USD in our ecosystem. The number of $EARNS received is determined by dividing the USD value to be sent by the current market price of $EARNS. These perks consequently do not directly affect the $EARNS token.

Tasks (T)
The first Tasks perk unlocks boosts, where the user can pay a small amount of $EARNS to further increase their earning limit. The second level enables the user to surpass the monthly earning limit cap of 7000 points and enter access to "gold tier" tasks.
At the third level, the boosts unlocked by the first level get cheaper. Level four makes all earning limit increases last an extra month, and the top level unlocks a whole new class of tasks called "ambassador" tasks. These tasks pay directly in points for every task completed, and many can be assigned per day.
Rewards (R)
Increasing the Rewards perk generally increases the amount of rewards a user earns in some way.
Level 1 and 3 are different. Level 1 allows a user to claim different assets when redeeming points. By default, users get 50% in $USDC and 50% in $EARNS, but the first Rewards perk allows users to swap out the stablecoins for other assets we offer. These assets vary depending on our current partnerships, but the 2nd asset is always $EARNS.
At Level 3, users unlock the ability to alter the 50/50 split for a conversion of “points” to $USDC and $EARNS. Users are then able to choose anywhere between 90% $EARNS/10% $USDC to 10% $EARNS/90% $USDC, or a different asset than $USDC if a partner asset is selected instead.
Level 2 doubles the speed at which leaderboard scores increase. Level 4 unlocks small earning levels for watching livestreams. Level 5 boosts all $EARNS acquired through point redemptions by 25%.
Attrition (A)
The Attrition perk is arguably one of the most important perks to max out.
Many users are expected to eventually want to unstake their tokens and sell them, at which point they lose up to 50% of them to the attrition tax. The Attrition perk can greatly reduce tax rates and can make them more or less negligible, as low as 2.5% of the total.
Furthermore, a user who decides to change their perks also incurs an attrition tax. This tax starts at 25%, but can be reduced to as low as 1.25% with a Level 5 Attrition perk
Vesting (V)
Vesting perks affects user token vesting rates.
Tokens earned by Earnscape users as they redeem “points” are subject to a vesting requirement; 0.5% of tokens are vested each day as a base rate; $EARNS are eligible for staking upon the day they are received but cannot be transferred or sold freely unless vested or they will incur a 50% early redemption tax.
Each level of the Vesting perk increases this daily vesting rate 0.1% per level, such that a Level 5 “Vesting” perk yields a daily vesting rate of 1%.
Earning Limits (E)
Increasing Earning limits are a key motivator for Earnscape users.
Research shows the existing system of limits compels many users to do everything possible to increase these limits. The Earning limits perks allow users to unlock higher earning limits within the app by the specified amount.
If a user has a daily earning limit of 100 points, the Level 1 “Limits” perk will increase this to 102.5 points. The Level 5 version of the perk would boost that 100 point limit to 125 points.
Livestreaming (L)
Livestreaming perks have the unique effect of unlocking the ability for Earnscape users to livestream their gameplay sessions. Initially, this only applies if users are playing a ecosystem partner games.
Each level of this perk will improve the user’s ability to monetize, control, and popularize their streams. All Earnscape users can view livestreams, but only users with at least a Level 1 Livestreaming perk can stream their games.
The Level 2 perk unlocks the ability for streamers to turn off advertisements on their streams. Normally paying members are the only ones who do not see ads, but if ads are turned off then nobody will see them.
Level 3 removes the need for a user to pay for multistreams with $EARNS.
Level 4 expands the ability to stream to any game installed on the user’s device.
Perk Level 5 bestows preferred status on the user's streaming – their streams will always be shown at the top of the feed shown to users looking for streams to watch.
